Job summary

RootWave seeks a field service and technical support engineer to be the bridge between machines in the orchard and our engineering team. Based in Kineton, you will assist distributors, dealers and growers, resolving mechanical issues remotely and on site, and you will help interpret customer feedback for the next product upgrades.

With travel to UK sites year round and occasional European trips, you’ll work hands-on on builds, assemblies and fittings between field visits.

Qualifications

• Background in agricultural machinery or related field service experience.
• Mechanical skills first, with hydraulics and understanding of electrical systems.
• Ability to translate between non-technical customers and a technical engineering team.
• Full UK driving licence; towing entitlement is a plus.
• Formal qualifications aren’t imperative; adaptability and initiative matter.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to distributors, dealers and growers, remotely or on site.
• Act as the link between field machines and the engineering team, diagnosing issues and escalating when needed.
• Hands-on work on machines during field trips and in Kineton, including build, assembly and fitting.
• Travel within the UK year-round and European trips roughly every 4–6 weeks.
• Help shape future product developments with learnings from orchard and vineyard performances.
