Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover a local Cheshire patch (Crewe, Nantwich, Stoke-on-Trent, Winsford, Sandbach, Northwich and surrounds). Salary is £39,700–£46,800 per year DOE, plus a company van, specialist training and pension.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, repairs and breakdowns on a range of machinery and equipment.
• Mix of workshop and field based work covering a local patch (Cheshire and Staffordshire).
• Work schedule: 8:00am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday; occasional Saturdays (half day) in busier periods.

Are you a Service Engineer with experience working on agricultural machinery, plant equipment, HGVs, commercial vehicles or automotive systems looking for a new field-based role offering training, variety and long-term career development?

The business is continuing to grow and has a strong order book, creating the need for an additional Field Service Engineer to join the team. This role offers the chance to develop your technical skillset within a specialist industry while working across a local patch with minimal staying away.

The Role

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, fault-finding, repairs and breakdowns on a range of machinery and equipment.
• Mix of workshop and field based work covering a local patch (Cheshire and Staffordshire)
• £17 to £20 per hour dependant on experience, 8:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday. In busier periods you will be expected to work every other Saturday (half day)

The Person

• Experience within agriculture, plant, HGV, commercial vehicles or automotive industries
• Service, maintenance or mechanical fitting experience
• Good fault-finding and diagnostic skills
• Full, clean UK driving licence
