TipTopJob is recruiting a Field Service Engineer in Wakefield to service and repair materials handling machinery. The role involves carrying out PPM and breakdown tasks, with a focus on on-site support for forklifts and related equipment.

You will receive a fully expensed company van, paid door-to-door travel, overtime at enhanced rates, and a competitive starting salary of £32,000–£34,000 plus annual bonus and pension. Comprehensive training is provided.

Qualifications

• Experience in mechanical service and repair of plant or vehicle equipment.
• Engine diagnostic capability and basic electrical skills are desirable.
• Plant/forklift/HGV or agricultural equipment experience is suitable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis.
• Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area.
• Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment.
• Spares placed in van overnight.

Field Service Engineer role available in a highly successful manufacturer of forklift trucks. The role will suit those looking to join a employee driven company offering comprehensive training and support.

The Field Service Engineer role will be suitable for engineers from any kind of plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, cleaning equipment or similar. This is also a great career opportunity for vehicle technicians looking to move into a new industry as the company will fully train. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally have engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills.

Part of a team of engineers, youll be responsible for carrying out service and repairs on a range of forklifts. No stay away or extensive travel is required. Excellent OTE available through overtime and commission.
