Job summary

Outline Recruitment is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install and service conveyor and packaging machinery from Swindon Head Office. You will travel to customer sites to commission lines and provide hands-on technical support across the UK, Ireland, and Malta.

The role requires strong mechanical, electrical and pneumatic skills, with basic PLC knowledge. Occasional overnight stays and travel to international locations such as the Middle East and Italy may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience with mechanical, electrical and pneumatic systems.
• Basic PLC knowledge or exposure.
• Willingness to travel UK, Ireland and Malta.

Responsibilities

• Install packaging machinery lines.
• Provide technical assistance across the UK, Ireland and Malta.
• Offer technical support to the sales department.
• Occasional travel to the Middle East/Northern Africa and to Italy for training.

Hours: Days - with occasional over night stays / nights

Location: Swindon - Head Office

Main Tasks:

• Installation of packaging machinery lines.
• Providing technical assistance across the UK, Ireland, and Malta.
• Offering technical support to the sales department.
• Potential travel to the Middle East/Northern Africa for technical support and to Italy for training.
• Achieving performance targets set by management.

Key Skills:

• Advanced knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic processes, with basic PLC functionality (programming not required).
• Familiarity with tray sealers, thermoformers, and pot fillers is advantageous.
