Job summary

Orion Electrotech Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support customers across the South of England. The role involves maintenance, fault finding, repairs, installations and commissioning of specialist equipment.

You will visit customer sites, diagnose issues and ensure uptime with high-quality service. The ideal candidate has field service experience, strong troubleshooting ability and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Experience as Field Service Engineer or similar technical position.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Electrical, electronic, mechanical or electromechanical engineering experience.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

Are you an experienced Field Service Engineer looking for a varied role where no two days are the same? We are seeking a motivated and technically minded engineer to support customers across the South of England, carrying out maintenance, fault finding, repairs, installations, and commissioning of specialist equipment and systems.

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for providing high-level technical support at customer sites, ensuring equipment operates efficiently and downtime is kept to a minimum. This is a hands-on position that combines problem-solving, customer interaction, and technical expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM).
• Install, commission, and configure equipment and systems.
• Complete service reports and technical documentation.
• Deliver exceptional customer support while on-site.

About You

• Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer, Service Engineer, Maintenance Engineer, or similar technical position.
• Strong fault-finding and troubleshooting skills.
• Electrical, electronic, mechanical, or electromechanical engineering experience.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• Full UK driving licence.
