Location: Watford

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 42.5 hours per week

Due to continued sales growth, a Field Service Engineer is required to join the team of a market-leading manufacturer and service provider of commercial and industrial laundry equipment. This is a great opportunity to join a reputable company that truly values and celebrates its team whilst offering job security.

The successful candidate will possess demonstrable electromechanical skills. Ideally, they will be commercially gas qualified; however, the company will provide training on this.

The role involves attending reactive breakdowns and providing routine maintenance to commercial laundry equipment at customer sites, aiming for a First Time Fix rate upwards of 85%. Experience working on industrial equipment may also be considered, depending on training and background.

You will work remotely most of the time and be on callout standby one in four weekends.

The Field Service Engineer Role

• Carrying out electrical and mechanical repairs and maintenance on a full range of laundry equipment
• Working within a 1 - 1.5 hours radius from your home, completing an average of 3 to 4 jobs per day
• Servicing commercial laundry equipment in care homes, hotels, charities, gyms, etc.

The Candidate

• Electromechanical background
• Ability to work efficiently to rectify breakdowns and accurately follow PPM schedules
• Electrical competence, including dead testing and safe isolation procedures
