Job summary

A leading materials handling business is seeking a skilled Field Service Engineer to service and repair forklifts and Material Handling Equipment at customer sites. The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical background and a recognised engineering qualification. A full UK driving licence is essential. This role offers a salary of £30,000 - £42,000 plus overtime and benefits including a company van and ongoing training.

Overview

Field Service Engineer - FLT and MHE

Location: Covering Northampton

Salary: £30,000 - £42,000 (Depending on Experience) + Overtime

Hours: Monday to Friday (Days)

Role

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a leading materials handling business, servicing and repairing forklift trucks and a range of other Material Handling Equipment (MHE) at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Service and repair forklift trucks and other MHE at customer sites
• Carry out diagnostics, fault finding and repairs to component level
• Ensure high standards of customer service and workmanship

Key Requirements

• Strong mechanical background - ideally from forklifts, automotive, plant or similar
• Recognised mechanical engineering qualification (NVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent)
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential
• Previous field service experience is advantageous but not essential
