Job description

We are looking for several Field Service Engineers that can work across a number of patches including North (Derby upwards to Leeds/Sheffield), M1 corridor (Northampton to Watford) and Central East (Cambridge, Peterborough).

We are looking for someone who is able to carry out the below tasks:

  1. Carry out routine servicing on a variety of tanker equipment
  2. Diagnose faults on electric, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  3. Carry out annual tank tests once trained to do so (includes working in confined space)
  4. Identify additional works required on each visit to ensure equipment is functional and safe
  5. Complete detailed and accurate reports in line with expected standards
  6. Interact daily with the service centre team
  7. Submit reports daily following each job
  8. Liaise directly with customers regarding repairs and service requirements
  9. Be prepared to work overtime which on occasions may require overnight stays or early starts
  10. Ensure all health and safety requirements are adhered to
  11. Proactively provide feedback on matters of health and safety
  12. Maintain a clean and organised working area
  13. Maintain PPE and tooling to a high standard
  14. Ensure service vehicle is maintained, checked, and in road legal condition

It would be great if you had knowledge in:

  1. Operating in a field service engineer role
  2. Customer facing and interaction skills
  3. Commercial vehicle repair and diagnosis
  4. Vehicle electrics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and mechanical diagnosis and repair
