Coffee Field Service Engineer
Location: Manchester
Salary: Up to £37,500 per annum (OTE). Includes up to £33,000 per annum + overtime for weekend work, a company vehicle, 25 days holiday, pension, and other benefits.
Hours: 7:00am – 4:00pm (leave at 7am, return home at 4pm)
We are looking for a highly motivated, well‑presented individual with technical ability and an excellent understanding of coffee equipment, quality standards and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Carry out a broad range of coffee equipment repair and preventative maintenance tasks, from fault finding to diagnosis, ensuring all equipment is left in good working order.
- Perform all work in accordance with agreed specification, providing consistent coffee quality for first‑time fixes and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate proactively with the central call centre, taking daily instructions and keeping them updated so waiting customers are informed.
- Comply with on‑site arrival procedures, introducing yourself to the site manager/supervisor and obtaining permission before commencing work.
- Adhere to Health & Safety procedures, carrying out risk assessments and raising any hazards to management.
- Complete all required online job sheets, timesheets and supporting documentation, reviewing and submitting them before leaving the premises.
- Maintain all tools, equipment and company‑supplied vehicles in good working order, reporting any faults or failures to your line manager daily.
- Manage spare part inventory using a handheld unit, invoicing customers, deducting from stock and replenishing to keep the vehicle stock at required levels.
Qualifications & Experience
- Confidence and passion for customer‑service.
- Excellent understanding of coffee quality and associated equipment.
- Demonstrated problem‑solving skills with an electrical/ mechanical background.
- Computer literate with a clean driving licence.
- Self‑motivated with flexibility regarding location and working hours (required to work 1 in 4 weekends).
