Job summary

Wabtec Corporation is seeking an experienced service engineer to join a well-established group that designs, manufactures and tests industrial turbochargers.

The role involves extensive travel across the UK and worldwide to service, repair and investigate products, with mandatory work at the Napier facility in Lincoln when required for training and business needs.

You will bring a time-served apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3, good communication, reading drawings, and a full driving license.

Qualifications

• Time served mechanical engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3.
• Knowledge of turbocharger operation advantageous.
• Willingness to travel extensively and work at customer sites.

Responsibilities include:

• Extensive travel to carry out service, repair and investigation work to our products throughout the UK and Worldwide
• Required to work in the Napier facility in Lincoln as support for training and to meet business needs if required

Qualifications:

• Recognised time served Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3

Experience:

• Knowledge of turbocharger operation and medium speed diesel engines would be advantageous

Skills:

• Good communication skills, verbal and written
• Good timekeeping
• Good awareness of a safe working environment and duties to self and others within the company's HSE policy
• Ability to use calibrated measuring equipment
• Ability to read engineering drawings and interpret
• Full drivers license and passport are essential
• Able to be the face of Napier at site with our customers and uphold Napier's standing in the industry
