Job summary

Allscreens Nationwide Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover the Yorkshire region, ideally based in Leeds or surrounding areas. You will service and repair material handling equipment at customer sites, with ongoing manufacturer training and strong earning potential.

The role involves diagnosing mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults, managing your schedule, and delivering excellent customer service with on-site and remote support as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as Field Service Engineer or similar role.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and hydraulic fault-finding abilities.
• Experience with forklifts, plant machinery, powered access or automotive equipment.
• IT-literate with ability to use digital service systems.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment and forklifts.
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults across a regional patch.
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and respond to breakdowns.
• Manage your schedule across a regional customer base and maintain records.

A leading materials handling business is looking to recruit a Field Service Engineer to join its growing Yorkshire service team. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience or transferrable skills working on forklifts, plant equipment, agricultural machinery, powered access equipment or commercial vehicles who is looking for a varied field-based role with ongoing manufacturer training and strong earning potential.

Working across a regional patch, you'll be responsible for servicing, maintaining and repairing a wide range of material handling equipment at customer sites.

The Role

• Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs on material handling equipment and forklift trucks
• Diagnose and rectify mechanical, electrical and hydraulic faults
• Complete planned preventative maintenance and breakdown response activities
• Manage your own schedule across a regional customer base
• Maintain accurate service records using mobile technology
• Provide a high level of customer service and technical support

The Candidate

• Previous experience working as a Field Service Engineer, Vehicle Technician, Plant Fitter or similar
• Strong mechanical, electrical and/or hydraulic fault-finding skills
• Experience working on forklifts, plant machinery, powered access, agricultural or automotive equipment
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent engineering qualification is beneficial
• IT literate and comfortable using digital service systems
• Full UK driving licence
