Job summary

TalentTech Recruitment Ltd is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, install, repair and train on specialist commercial refrigeration equipment across West Midlands & Worcestershire. You will regularly use your F-Gas qualification while handling fridges, display cabinets and ice machines.

This daytime role offers a basic salary of £35,000–£38,000, plus a company vehicle, ongoing training, uncapped overtime and a bonus around £10k+, with 25 days holiday and pension benefits.

Qualifications

• F-Gas qualification (2078/2079) required for daily refrigerant handling.
• Field service experience preferred but not essential.
• Full UK driving licence and right to work in UK without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Service, install, repair and train on commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Work on fridges, display cabinets, chillers, ice machines and ice-cream devices.
• Use F-Gas everyday and perform basic electrical/mechanical troubleshooting.
• Daytime only; 40 hours per week with 1-in-4 weekend rota.
• Overtime with time off in lieu and option to work bank holidays.

Our client is looking for somebody who is F-gas qualified and ultimately seeking an easier way of life on smaller pieces of equipment.

Your Role as a Field Service Engineer:

• As a field service engineer you will be servicing, installing, repairing and providing training on a range of specialist commercial refrigeration equipment.
• Examples include fridges, display cabinets, coolers, chillers, ice machines, and ice-cream machines.
• Utilising your F-Gas qualification on a daily basis, this will also test your basic electrical and mechanical problem-solving skills.
• A daytime only role with no overnights or evening work, typically 40 hours per week
• 1-in-4 call out rota for weekends; days only.
• Option to work bank holidays for overtime AND time off in lieu.

Ideal Background for the Field Service Engineer:

• You must hold a refrigerant handling qualification such as 2079 or 2078 (F-Gas).
• Experience in a field service role is preferable but not essential.
• Be personable and professional when on client sites.
• You’ll be electrically competent.
• Hold a full UK driving licence and have right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
