Job summary

Smart Search Technical Ltd in Rochdale recruits an experienced Refrigeration Field Service Engineer to service specialist temperature-controlled equipment across pharma, healthcare and laboratory environments. The role involves servicing, maintaining, fault-finding, calibrating and validating stability chambers, environmental rooms and ultra-low temperature freezers.

You will travel across the UK, with occasional travel to Ireland, carry out maintenance, complete service reports and support

Qualifications

• Previous field service engineering experience.
• Refrigeration and/or laboratory equipment experience.
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• F-Gas Category 1 desirable.
• Calibration and validation experience desirable.
• GMP experience desirable.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain and repair refrigeration and temperature-controlled equipment
• Diagnose electrical, mechanical, refrigeration and humidity faults
• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, calibration and validation
• Complete service reports and communicate findings to customers
• Manage van stock and respond to breakdowns
• Participate in an out-of-hours on-call rota
• Travel throughout the UK, with occasional travel to Ireland

Salary: £40,000-£45,000 DOE + Overtime

The Role
