Job summary

Generator Power in Inverness is seeking a reliable general labourer to support workshop and yard operations. The role involves manual loading/unloading, equipment washing, and maintaining tidy work areas to ensure efficient daily activities across depots.

The successful candidate will follow health, safety, quality and environmental guidelines and assist with ad-hoc tasks as directed by the management team. On-site work, permanent contract, and a collaborative team environment are offered.

Qualifications

• General labouring and physical work.
• Experience with workshop/yard upkeep preferred.
• Familiarity with health and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• General labouring duties.
• Ensure workshops and yard areas are swept daily.
• Maintaining tidiness of workshop and yard areas.
• Preparation and storage of cables.
• Washing of generators and equipment.
• Liaise with store person on yard requirements.
• Able to deal with maintenance issues at residential properties.
• Collection of goods.
• Minor repairs (odd jobs requested by MD and PA).
• Loading and unloading of equipment.
• Promote teamwork and cooperation across all depots.

• Preparation and storage of cables.
• Washing of Generators, Equipment.
• Liaise with Store person on yard requirements.
• Collecting fencing.
• Able to deal with maintenance issues at residential properties.
• Collection of goods.
• Minor repairs (odd jobs requested by MD and PA).
• Loading and unloading of equipment.
• Promote teamwork and co-operation at all times, both within individual depots and right across the entire Generator Power Group of Companies.
• Safeguard all Company assets; nothing leaves the depot without correct paperwork.
• Treat all other employees and all our customers professionally and with respect.
• Always act in the best interests of any of the Generator Power Group of Companies, and not to carry out (or fail to carry out) any action that would bring the company into disrepute.
• Always work in a responsible manner to ensure safe working practices.
• All information is to be dealt with in line with General Data Protection Regulations 2018.
• Follow Health Safety Quality and Environmental guidelines provided by the company - currently ISO 9001:14001 and OHSAS 18001 procedures, including all future notifications.
• Proactively contribute to the company’s policy of continuous improvement.
• Carry out any reasonable ad-hoc duties requested by your direct Line Manager or the Management Team.
