Job summary

Accelerated People Management Ltd is seeking a technically proficient Field Service Engineer to join their team in Hull. The role offers £40,000 base pay plus overtime with potential to reach £50,000, plus a van, fuel card, pension and generous holiday allowance.

You will service and repair heavy machinery across the UK and Ireland, with occasional international travel. You should have a mechanical engineering background, be hands-on, and hold a UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Proven experience in mechanical servicing, maintenance or engineering within a heavy industrial environment.
• Full UK Driving Licence and willingness to travel and stay away when required.

Responsibilities

• Servicing, maintaining and repairing mechanical components including gearboxes, bearings and large industrial machinery.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and proactive servicing programmes.
• Providing hands‑on technical support to customers across the UK and Ireland, with occasional international travel.
• Coordinating service activities with the UK-based engineering team and ensuring work is completed safely and efficiently.
