Samuel Frank is recruiting a Field Service Engineer to service, maintain and fault-find on automated machinery across FMCG, food and automotive environments. This home-based role requires extensive UK-wide travel with overseas work as needed.

You will also deliver training to customers on operation and basic maintenance, perform testing and diagnostics, and complete preventative maintenance and retrofit upgrades. The position offers a company car and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Electrically biased or multi-skilled engineer with fault-finding experience.
• Experience in FMCG, food or automotive manufacturing environments.
• Exposure to industrial automation and packaging machinery.

Responsabilités

• Carry out service, maintenance and fault finding on automated machinery on customer sites.
• Perform testing and diagnostics to ensure equipment operates correctly before handover.
• Deliver training to customers on operation and basic maintenance.
• Complete preventative maintenance and install retrofit upgrades.
• Represent the business on-site and build strong customer relationships.
• Identify opportunities for improvements, spare parts and ongoing service.
• Travel extensively; ~75% UK and remaining overseas.

Field Service Engineer - Home Based - UK Wide + International Travel - £40-48k + Company Car + Overtime

Samuel Frank is recruiting for a Field Service Engineer to join a well-established manufacturer of industrial automation and packaging machinery. This Field Service Engineer role will suit an electrically biased, multi-skilled engineer who enjoys fault finding and working on customer sites across a range of manufacturing environments.

The successful Field Service Engineer can live anywhere in the UK.

Key aspects of the Field Service Engineer role include

• Carrying out service, maintenance and fault finding on automated machinery across FMCG, food and automotive environments
• Performing testing and diagnostics to ensure equipment is fully operational before handover
• Delivering training to customers on operation and basic maintenance of machinery
• Completing preventative maintenance activities and installing retrofit upgrades
• Acting as the on-site representative of the business, building strong working relationships with customers
• Identifying opportunities for improvements, spare parts and ongoing service support
• This role involves significant travel - around 95% of your time will be spent away from home, with approximately 75% of site work within the UK and the remainder overseas

The ideal Field Service Engineer will have

• Electrically biased but multi-skilled or mechatronics background; including controls, drives and fault finding
• Experience within manufacturing environments such as FMCG, food or automotive
• Exposure to industrial automation, packaging machinery or special purpose equipment
• Strong problem-solving ability and confidence working independently
• Clear communication skills and a professional approach on customer sites
• Full UK driving licence
