About the Role:
We are looking for a Field Service Engineer based at our Warrington Depot, covering Wigan, North Manchester, and Lancashire.

Key Responsibilities:

• Service and repair Volvo construction equipment and other machinery.
• Identify mechanical issues using technical knowledge and diagnostic tools, advising customers accordingly.
• Seek additional revenue opportunities, promoting our aftermarket solutions.
• Work according to quotations and time guidelines, alerting management to potential additional work.
• Install software updates as released.
• Complete electronic reports, inputs, and timesheets in real-time, detailing work performed.
• Order and return parts as necessary, ensuring they are clean and timely.
• Work overtime and respond to call-outs as needed.
• Attend relevant training sessions.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Engineering qualification in Plant Maintenance, Agricultural/HGV mechanics, or related field (NVQ 3/C&G).
• Experience in repairing heavy construction equipment, with skills in diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and electrics.
• Advanced diagnostic skills with a good understanding of hydraulics, electrics, and EATS.
• Effective communication skills with colleagues, management, and customers.
• Cost-conscious mindset to maximize profitability.
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic capabilities.
• Proficiency with computer systems and Outlook.
• Attention to detail, responsibility, reliability, honesty, and trustworthiness.
• Ability to understand technical literature and systems.

Desirable Skills:
