Field Service Engineer role available with a leading manufacturer of forklift trucks, based on a Glasgow–Edinburgh route. The role suits engineers from plant, forklifts, HGV or similar who will receive full training and progression into a rewarding career with no long stays away.

You will carry out service and repairs, perform PPM and breakdowns, and benefit from a fully expensed van, overtime up to 2x, a 5% annual bonus, commission, pension, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, and ongoing

Qualifications

• Demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills.
• Engine diagnostic skills preferred.
• Basic electrical skills.
• IT literate for service data and diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Carry out service and repairs on forklifts and related machinery.
• Perform PPM and breakdown maintenance within geographical area.
• Complete training to become fully competent on all machinery and equipment.
• Spare parts stocked in van for daily duties.

The Field Service Engineer role will be suitable for engineers from any kind of plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural, cleaning equipment or similar. This is also a great career opportunity for vehicle technicians looking to move into a new industry as the company will fully train. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally have engine diagnostic and some basic electrical skills.

Part of a team of engineers, you'll be responsible for carrying out service and repairs on a range of forklifts. No stay away or extensive travel is required. Excellent OTE available through overtime and commission.

The Field Service Engineer Role in Brief:

• Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
• Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
• Complete comprehensive training to get fully competent on all machinery and equipment
• Spares placed in van overnight

The Field Service Engineer Person Required:

• Plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment, automotive technicians/motor trade will also be suitable
• Ideally hold a level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
• IT literate
