Job summary

Dennis Eagle is seeking a Field Service Engineer to service, repair, and maintain specialist vehicles across the UK, reporting into the Manchester office.

This mobile role requires diagnosing faults, carrying out servicing to a high standard, and ensuring vehicles meet MOT and DOT standards. You will travel to customer sites, complete accurate records using PDA software, and uphold safety compliance. The role involves 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance.
• Experience in Field Service, HGV mechanics, or workshop environments.
• Ability to read technical documentation and follow safety standards.

• Communicate clearly with customers and provide excellent service

Role: Field Service Engineer

Location: Covering North Wales, across the M62 corridor towards Leeds, and up the North West coastline to Carlisle, reporting into our Manchester office

Hours: 45 hours per week | between 08:00 and 17:30 Monday to Friday

Salary: between £45,653.40 - £48,578.40 pa DOE

Are you a skilled technician with a passion for problem-solving and delivering exceptional service? We’re looking for a proactive and customer-focused Field Service Engineer to join our Aftermarket team!

This is a mobile role where you’ll be responsible for servicing, repairing, and maintaining specialist vehicles at customer sites and company workshops. You’ll play a vital role in ensuring our vehicles are safe, compliant, and operating at peak performance.

Ideal Candidate

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance
• Previous experience in a similar role (Field Service, HGV Mechanic, Workshop Engineer)
• Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills
• Knowledge of vehicle technology systems and compliance standards
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Flexible with working hours and willing to travel
• General computer literacy and ability to complete technical documentation
• Experience with electric vehicles, IRTEC qualification, or HGV Class 2 licence is a bonus
