Job summary

Coalesce Recruitment Limited is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join a nationwide service provider covering the West Midlands. You will repair and service mechanical and hydraulic equipment on customer fleets, with training leading to industry certification.

The role offers a company van, tools, workwear and ongoing training, plus a supportive team environment. Expect a rotating daytime pattern with on-call and weekend requirements as part of the field service schedule.

Field Service Engineer – Nationwide Service Provider – West Midlands

Salary: £30,576 - £31,668 + door to door + overtime = £40k - £50k. Company Van + Tools + Workwear + Training.

On joining this business you will be trained on how to repair and service a wide range of mechanical and hydraulic equipment including load lifters, steps, cranes, ramps, winches and moving decks and in turn gain a recognised industry certification.

Responsibilities

As Field Service Engineer you will carry out both planned and unplanned service and breakdown repair to customers vehicle fleets predominantly throughout the West Midlands and further afield into Warwickshire and Worcestershire when required. The role will require you to work on a weekly rotating shift pattern consisting of 8am – 5pm Monday to Friday one week and then 11am – 8pm the following week and will also include being on-call 1 in 4 weekends and 2 evenings during the week.

Qualifications

• Ideally qualified to NVQ level or equivalent in mechanical engineering, vehicle mechanics, plant machinery or similar.
• Comfortable using a range of hand tools.
• Previous experience in repairing, maintaining or servicing mechanical equipment, plant or machinery.
• Experience in or an understanding of hydraulics and basic fault finding on 12 & 24 volt electrics, although full training will be provided.
