Job summary

Demob Job Ltd client, a leading provider of specialist laboratory instrumentation, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to cover Scotland, with regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

The successful candidate will have an electrical/electronic engineering background with a minimum HNC or higher qualification, field service experience, and strong fault-finding skills; IT literacy and a full UK driving licence are essential.

Qualifications

• Electrical, electronic engineering or scientific background with a recognised qualification to a minimum of an HNC or higher qualification.
• Experience working in a field service or maintenance environment.
• Previous experience within laboratory instrumentation or similar is highly desirable.
• Strong fault finding and diagnostic skills.
• IT literate and holds a full, clean UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance, calibration and repair of equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime for customers.
• Provide technical support both on site and remotely.
• Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate records.
• Maintain tools, test equipment and vehicle stock levels.

I am recruiting for my client, a leading provider of specialist laboratory instrumentation supporting customers across a wide range of industries throughout the UK. Due to continued growth, they are now seeking a Field Service Engineer to join their established team, covering Scotland. Please note this role involves regular travel and occasional overnight stays.

Candidates living in or close to Glasgow, Edinburgh, Stirling are of particular interest.
