Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a field-based service technician to diagnose, repair, and service Volvo construction equipment across the designated region. You will provide updates to customers, complete real-time documentation, and uphold safety and quality standards.

Ideal candidates will have NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance and proven experience with heavy construction plant, diesel engines, hydraulics, and diagnostic systems, plus a valid UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Plant Maintenance or related engineering discipline.
• Proven experience maintaining and repairing heavy construction plant.
• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, drivetrains, electrics, and diagnostic systems.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Flexibility to travel, work overtime, and support customer requirements.

Responsibilities

• Service, maintain, diagnose, and repair Volvo construction equipment and associated machinery within the designated region.

• Build strong customer relationships and act as a trusted technical expert.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, drivetrains, electrics, and diagnostic systems
• Advanced fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently in a field-based environment
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Full UK driving licence
• Flexibility to travel, work overtime, and support customer requirements when needed
• Experience maintaining and repairing construction plant equipment
