Job summary

Gravis Robotics is hiring a Field Robotics Engineer to lead customer deployments and ensure reliable performance of the Rooftop Autonomous Control Kit (RACK) across a range of construction machines. The role combines hands-on work with ownership of deployment projects from planning through delivery.

You will collaborate with R&D and Operations, lead on-site setup and commissioning, and interact directly with customers throughout project execution. Travel is a key element of this role.

Qualifications

• University degree in Robotics, Mechatronics, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience deploying, integrating, and debugging robotic software.
• Experience with the ROS ecosystem.
• Strong Linux proficiency.
• Fluency with Git or other version control systems.
• Programming in C++ and Python.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, including internationally.
• Valid Category B driving license.
• Hands-on mechanical or electronics experience.
• Experience with CAN protocols.
• Previous customer project or technical project management experience.
• Experience operating or working with construction or agricultural machinery.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of customer deployment projects from start to finish.
• Own end-to-end technical planning, coordination, and follow-up in close collaboration with Operations.
• Serve as a trusted technical point of contact for customers throughout the deployment lifecycle.
• Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to customers and end users.
• Perform regular system testing to ensure reliability, robustness, and performance.
• Generate performance reports and work with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues quickly.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of deployment processes, tooling, and best practices.
