Job summary

Gravis Robotics is seeking a Field Robotics Engineer to lead end-to-end customer deployments of the Rooftop Autonomous Control Kit (RACK). This hybrid role blends hands-on hardware/software work with project ownership across planning, testing, and delivery.

The role requires travel to client sites, including internationally, and remote work from the UK when not traveling. You will collaborate with R&D and Operations, translate complex robotic behaviors into reliable real-world performance, and

Qualifications

• Degree in robotics, mechatronics, electrical or mechanical engineering.
• Experience deploying and debugging robotic software systems.
• Experience with ROS ecosystem.
• Strong Linux proficiency.
• Git or other version control fluency.
• Proficient in C++ and Python.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites, including international travel.
• Valid Category B driving license.

Responsibilities

• Lead the technical execution of customer deployment projects from start to finish.
• Own end-to-end technical planning, coordination, and follow-up with Operations.
• Serve as a trusted technical point of contact for customers during deployment.
• Provide hands-on technical support and guidance to customers and end users.
• Perform regular system testing to ensure reliability, robustness, and performance.
• Generate performance reports and work with cross-functional teams to resolve issues.
