Job summary

Distance Technologies is seeking a Product Integration Engineer to develop and prove out our Field Operator HUD for military customers. You’ll own the integration of FOH with a British Army platform, travel within the UK and occasionally to Finland, and join our R&D team to translate customer needs into robust field-ready solutions.

You should have 2+ years of software experience with VR/XR, plus hands-on skills in C++, Unity, and embedded systems.

Qualifications

• Hands-on self-starter who takes ownership and works in field or with customers.
• 2+ years of software engineering experience with VR/XR.
• Comfort with a mixed software stack including C++, Unity and embedded; exposure to electrical interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Own customer integrations end to end, adapt software and wire into customer platforms and demos.
• Join demos, trials and on-site deployments with defence clients.
• Bridge customer needs to R&D and commercial teams and feed improvements into the roadmap.
