Job summary

Distance Technologies Oy seeks a Product Integration Engineer to develop and prove out our Field Operator HUD with British Army platforms and defence primes. You’ll own integrations across diverse customer setups, working hands-on in the field rather than at a desk.

You will join the core R&D team, collaborating on prototype development, field trials, and on-site deployments while shaping the roadmap for future shared capabilities.

Qualifications

• Hands-on software engineering experience with VR or XR.
• Comfort with mixed software stacks including C++, Unity, and embedded systems.
• Willingness to travel within the UK and occasionally to Finland.

Responsibilities

• Own customer integrations end to end: adapt software, wire into sensors/displays/video/connectivity, and make ready for demos.
• Join demos, trials and on-site deployments with defence clients and bring back learnings.
• Bridge field needs to R&D and commercial teams to influence roadmaps and shared codebase.
