Job summary

Driscoll's UK is seeking a QA Supervisor based in Maidstone with field visits during production season. You will oversee the QA team, ensure coverage across operations and coach colleagues.

You will work with growers, technical, procurement, sales and production to ensure quality standards from harvest to customer, maintaining food safety, labelling accuracy and continuous improvement across processes.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in a comparable quality assurance role.
• Experience within soft fruit, fresh produce or similar fast-paced food environment.
• Ability to supervise, train and motivate a QA team.
• Strong communication skills across departments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and develop the QA team and ensure adequate QA coverage.
• Coordinate staffing levels, annual leave and absences.
• Ensure compliance with customer specifications, quality standards and SOPs.
• Monitor quality at grower, harvest, intake and operations.
• Identify and communicate non-conformances to Technical, Procurement, Sales and Operations.
• Work closely with production to ensure packing procedures are followed correctly.
• Collaborate with allocation and production teams to ensure correct pallets and quality standards.
• Provide clear feedback to growers, Procurement and Sales regarding fruit arrivals and quality.
• Manage fruit quality and labelling issues and document appropriately.
• Review quality data, identify trends and support corrective actions.
• Support and cover for the QA Manager when required.
• Contribute to continuous improvement across quality and operational processes.
