Job summary

Fmk consulting in Kent is seeking a QA & Compliance Manager to lead our quality, food safety and regulatory compliance program across the business. The role is hands-on and requires strong auditing, training and documentation skills.

You will drive HACCP maintenance, audit readiness, and ensure adherence to BRC and customer standards, collaborating with the Technical team to promote a culture of safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in QA, Technical, Food Safety or Compliance within food manufacturing or fresh produce.
• HND level or equivalent qualification in Food Safety/Technical/Compliance.
• Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and regulatory requirements.
• Experience auditing and ensuring compliance in a food business.
• Understanding HACCP principles and application.
• Experience delivering QA, hygiene or compliance training.
• Strong communication skills with cross-team influence.
• Good numerical and analytical skills.
• Proficient in Excel and Word.
• Ability to work independently and drive actions to completion.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and technical compliance.
• Develop, deliver and monitor training programmes to meet legal, customer and business requirements.
• Carry out internal audits and support audits from customers, suppliers and third parties.
• Ensure compliance with food safety legislation, industry standards and customer codes of practice.
• Maintain and support HACCP systems and related procedures.
• Monitor compliance against BRC and own-label customer standards.
• Identify non-compliance and drive corrective actions.
• Maintain accurate technical and compliance records and documentation.
• Provide technical guidance across the business.
• Collaborate with the Technical team to promote culture of safety and quality.
