Job summary

SMS Environmental is seeking a Plumbing Remedial Engineer to join our field-based team covering Oxfordshire. Permanent position with a base salary of £32,000–£38,000 plus OTE, overtime and bonuses.

You will carry out remedial and reactive plumbing tasks, follow SMS Method Statements, and work with Water Treatment Engineers to ensure safe, compliant water systems for commercial and domestic sites. Ideal candidates have NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing, a full UK driving licence, and at least two years'

Qualifications

NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent.
Full UK Manual Driving Licence.
Willing to travel – occasional travel to London.
Minimum 2 years’ plumbing experience, ideally in water hygiene.
Pass Disclosure and Barring Service clearance (Enhanced DBS).

Responsibilities

Carry out plumbing works safely and efficiently, following SMS Method Statements.
Undertake water testing, sampling, and tank disinfection with Water Treatment Engineers.
Identify non-compliances and report system conditions to Account Managers.
Use Opuz software and company iPad to complete accurate reports.
Support the development of new plumbers and share knowledge.
Uphold the highest health and safety standards on every task.
Take ownership of your work and seek help when needed.
