Saica Paper, a division of the Saica Group, is recruiting for a Level 2 Operator-1 on a fixed-term contract of 2 years. The role is field based and involves 12-hour shifts (6am–6pm days and 6pm–6am nights) with a rotation and an annual shutdown.

Operators work on an annualised hours basis (2087 hours per year including holidays; 1831 actual hours). You will monitor, start up and maintain plant, follow safety and environmental regulations and participate in emergency response.

Qualifications

• NVQ in Paper Manufacturing or equivalent.

Responsabilités

• Ensure fulfilment of company Health and Safety policy.
• Comply with Safety, Quality and Environment regulations.
• Monitor, maintain and start up plant to achieve process continuity following safety, quality and environmental regulations.
• Notify Lead Operator and/or Shift Manager of any event that could affect process continuity via work orders.
• Notify Lead Operator and/or Shift Manager of any absence due to a work accident/incident.
• Actively participate in line housekeeping.
• Form part of the second response team in case of an emergency.
• Carry out Total Preventative Maintenance checks to keep plant running to optimum specification and identify/resolve defects.
