Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business/engineering/ops management and 3 years in business/operational management in a related industry
• Understanding of manufacturing environments; aptitude in control systems, robotics, automation, or mechanical trades
• Demonstrated supervisory leadership
• High emotional intelligence; ability to interact with technicians, site leadership, ATS senior leadership and customers
• Hands-on technical skills and project management
• Solid financial acumen; experience managing budgets/forecasts over $2M
• Ability to write technical documents and proposals
• Travel required (30-60%).
• Desirable: maintenance management experience, experience leading managers across multiple locations, operational excellence & continuous improvement methodologies, experience with new customer integrations or startup activities

Responsibilities

• Champion the Operating System; ensure it is understood, reinforced and embedded across service delivery
• Leads complex projects from definition through implementation
• Manages multiple projects, some direct, some via assigned resources
• Designs and maintains project documentation, requirements and timelines with deliverables, goals, milestones
• Assesses and manages project resources; assigns responsibilities, sets expectations, and monitors performance for timely completion
• Manages sourcing and engagement of third-party firms for defined deliverables
• Recruits, hires and trains technical resources; evaluates performance and recommends promotions and training
• Develops and implements methods to monitor work activities, including expenditures records and progress reports
• Analyzes and resolves work problems; assists employees in solving issues
• Evaluates working environment to improve procedures, performance and service quality; suggests efficiency improvements
• Gathers technical docs (drawings, schematics, specs, parts lists) from histories and manuals; verifies parts; arranges tools/equipment
• First contact for customers and onsite resources; aligns priorities and anticipates needs
• Facilitates lessons-learned sessions and implements continuous improvements
• Accounts for revenues and expenses (labor, overtime, travel) for startup activities
