Base Location: South West Yorkshire area

Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Field Operations Manager to join the Water Service Delivery Team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

Where you fit in:

The Field Operations Manager is a key position which drives business performance and direction through role model leadership to a team of operational and technical colleagues to ensure the safe and efficient delivery of upper quartile Supply Interruptions and Water Quality performance, and sector leading Customer Experience.

Working with the Manager of Field Operations and in conjunction with Asset Management to deliver the strategy and change required to hit performance targets in AMP8. The role will deliver world class asset and operational excellence across YW assets, in pursuit of health and safety excellence; regulatory compliance; operational efficiency and business plan outperformance.

A passionate people manager who demonstrates relentless drive, energy and determination to get the highest out of the team, delivering sustainable outperformance for Yorkshire Water that rigorously helps to achieve our Upper Quartile vision against a demanding competitive industry, whilst delivering business plan outperformance.

What skills & qualifications you will need:

  • Understanding of Water Networks and managing our above and below ground assets
  • Recognisable skillset that is preferred within the water industry, its regulators bodies and/or experience within the utility sector
  • Excellent operational and people leader, balanced with the analytical and creative abilities necessary for innovation. Knowledge and experience of best practice and constantly looking for new ways of working and improving
  • Exemplify and bring to life our core values of outstanding safety management
  • Strongly motivated by the provision of unrivalled customer service
  • Ability and track record of delivering successful change in a sustainable manner
  • Strong networking and influencing skills
  • Ability to understand data and formulate effective strategies for teams

You will also benefit from having:

  • Good understanding of Water operational structures and processes
  • Understanding of the regulatory requirements and measures for WASCs
  • Understanding of the Water Act and the Competition Act

Recruitment Process
