Job summary

Edina is seeking an Operations Engineer for a full‑time, permanent role in Leatherhead. You will maintain and optimise gas/diesel engine installations to help clients improve energy efficiency and reduce emissions.

You will perform scheduled and reactive maintenance, diagnose issues, and contribute to process improvements while supporting a 24‑hour callout rota. A full UK driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Hold minimum ONC, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 in mechanical/electrical engineering or equivalent.
• Be a time-served technician with at least ~3 years’ industrial mechanical/electrical experience.
• Possess in-depth knowledge of gas/diesel engines.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills.
• Have effective IT skills and competency in Microsoft Office.
• Hold a full, valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on installations across Leatherhead and the surrounding area.
• Diagnose and perform all reactive maintenance on clients’ installations.
• Oversee and optimise operational processes to increase productivity and reduce time/material use.
• Be prepared for weekend work and an established 24‑hour callout rota.
