Job summary

Edina is seeking an Operations Engineer to join our team in Maidstone on a full-time, permanent basis. You will execute maintenance on installations, diagnose faults, and drive improvements to energy efficiency and emissions reduction for clients in the UK.

The role requires mechanical experience, engine/generator know-how, IT proficiency and a valid driving licence. We offer overtime, a generous leave policy, a company van, pension, life cover and training opportunities.

Qualifications

• Minimum ONC/NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 in mechanical discipline.
• At least 3 years’ experience as a mechanical technician, including recent experience.
• Strong knowledge of engine and/or generator fundamentals.
• Proficient IT skills; MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on installations in Maidstone and surrounding area.
• Diagnose faults and perform reactive maintenance to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Monitor and optimise operational processes to improve productivity and reduce waste.

Role

As an Operations Engineer, you will carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance work on installations across Maidstone and the surrounding area.

Ensuring that customer satisfaction is achieved, you will efficiently diagnose and implement all reactive maintenance work on our client’s installations, as well as other users’ installations.

You will also oversee and work to optimise the operational processes of users’ systems to increase productivity and reduce their use of excess time and materials.

About You

To be considered as an Operations Engineer, you will need:

• To hold a minimum of an ONC, NVQ Level 2 or City & Guilds Level 2 qualification in a mechanical-based discipline
• To have at least 3 years’ experience as a mechanical technician, including experience gained within the last 2 years
• To be a competent technician with considerable skills and in-depth knowledge of engine and/or generator fundamentals
• To have effective IT skills and competency in the use of Microsoft Office packages
• To hold a full, valid manual driving licence

Hours of Work: Monday - Friday 8.00am - 4.30pm.

This role will involve weekend work and possible out-of-hours work. You will be required to participate in an established 24-hour callout programme based on a rota system.
