Job summary
Perfect Placement in Northampton is seeking a skilled Mobile Vehicle Technician to service and repair commercial vehicles, primarily Ford Transits. The role is full-time and involves working autonomously within a well-established automotive business, with occasional overnight stays arranged in advance.
You will perform diagnostics, PDI checks, and manufacturer-compliant repairs, while maintaining accurate records and delivering excellent customer service across Northampton and surrounding areas.
Qualifications
- Level 3 NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent in Vehicle Maintenance and Repair.
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as a Vehicle Technician.
- Main dealer experience with Ford is advantageous.
Responsibilities
- Service and maintain commercial vehicles, mainly Ford Transits.
- Perform PDI checks, brake and timing belt replacements, off-site when required.
- Carry out diagnostic work and warranty repairs to OEM standards.
- Identify additional work during health checks and complete repairs.
- Maintain service records and documentation.
- Provide professional customer service while working independently across Northampton.
