Morson Edge is recruiting a Meter Reader to cover the Newport and wider NP postcode area. This outdoor role involves visiting properties, taking accurate meter readings, and delivering excellent customer service for leading energy suppliers.

You will plan routes, work independently, and manage your workload with full training provided before you start in the field. The role offers a 40-hour week and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
• Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to walk several miles each day.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Flexible approach to working hours, including weekends.

Responsibilities

• Visit residential and commercial properties to obtain accurate meter readings.
• Record meter readings using a handheld data collection device.
• Plan daily routes to maximise productivity.
• Provide excellent customer service during visits.
• Gain access to meters safely and professionally.
• Work independently while maintaining accuracy.
• Follow health and safety procedures.
• Represent the company professionally at properties.
• Ensure meter data is recorded correctly.
• Walk and drive between properties.
