Job summary

GI Group Main Account is hiring Meter Readers in the Guildford area. The role involves collecting data from gas, electricity and water meters for both domestic and commercial sites, updating reads on a handheld device, and delivering excellent customer service.

The position is full-time with flexible start/finish times (Mon-Fri, occasional Sat) and offers training, a company car, pension, uniform/PPE, and a bonus scheme. No prior experience required; a DBS/credit checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Manual UK driving licence required (1 year min) and clean license
• Customer service experience preferred
• Physically fit for outdoor role and lifting/bending requirements
• DBS check and credit check instructions may apply

Responsibilities

• Retrieve data from domestic, commercial, and industrial meters for Water, Gas and Electric meters.
• Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment.
• Conduct Charge Point Surveys and record readings on handheld device.
• Drive to locations and work independently with a professional approach.
• Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines at all times
