Job summary

GI Group Main Account is hiring Meter Readers in High Wycombe and surrounding areas. No experience is required, and the role offers full-time hours close to home with flexible start times.

You will collect meter readings for gas, electricity and water on handheld devices, serving commercial and residential properties. Training is provided to ensure accurate data capture and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Must be physically fit and able to bend, lift, kneel, climb stairs and walk 4–5 miles daily.
• Happy to work in all weather conditions.
• Clear DBS check (no unspent convictions).
• Credit report check (no CCJs, IVA, debt relief orders in last 6 years).
• 5 years employment history.
• Manual UK Driving Licence - 1 year minimum, max 6 points, no DR offences.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve data from domestic, commercial and industrial meters for Water, Gas, and Electric. Full training provided.
• Carry out visual inspections of metering equipment.
• Conduct Charge Point Surveys.
• Be motivated to work independently.
• Maintain a friendly, professional approach to work.
• Adhere to Health and Safety guidelines at all times.
