Job summary

M Group Energy is seeking Meter Readers for roles based in Twickenham and Slough. The position is a temporary contract with ongoing work, requiring you to work 8am–8pm, six days a week.

You will train first, then undertake field visits to read meters, plan routes, and interact with customers while ensuring safety and accuracy. Experience with handheld devices, a full UK driving licence, and DBS background checks may be required.

Qualifications

• Structured training programme before moving into the field.
• Reading meters accurately and recording information.
• Reading meters inside or outside properties and planning routes.
• Prioritising safety for yourself and customers in all interactions.
• Passing screening and vetting standards, including DBS background checks.

Responsibilities

• Read meters and record information accurately.
• Plan and follow daily routes across assigned area.
• Interact with customers, providing helpful service and guidance.
• Work independently with support from Field Manager and Metering team.
• Carry out outdoor fieldwork in various weather conditions.
