Job summary

Healthcare 21 is seeking a practical Medical Support Technician to join our field service team. This home-based role involves travelling to hospitals and customer sites across the UK to install, service and repair a range of electromechanical medical equipment, including specialized tables and garment management systems.

You will work independently alongside experienced engineers, performing maintenance, fault diagnosis and approved repairs.

Qualifications

• Practical and mechanical/electromechanical aptitude.
• Willingness to learn new products via structured training.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide field service for assigned products and perform routine servicing and preventive maintenance.
• Perform functional checks and calibration; diagnose straightforward faults.
• Carry out approved repairs or component replacements; escalate complex or safety-related faults as needed.
• Support installations, relocations, commissioning and decommissioning of equipment as authorized.
• Produce accurate service reports and maintain digital records of equipment and status.
