Job summary

Automation Experts is seeking an Installation Engineer with Electrical or Mechanical background to join its multidisciplinary team. You will be responsible for the build, installation, commissioning and servicing of bespoke industrial equipment, including conveyors and automated systems.

The role combines workshop build with on-site installation and commissioning across the UK, with approximately 50% travel to customer sites.

Qualifications

Electrical or Mechanical background is required.
Willingness to travel around 50% across the UK.

Responsibilities

Installation, assembly and commissioning of bespoke manufacturing machinery, conveyor systems and automated equipment.
Mechanical build and/or electrical installation of specialist line control and handling equipment.
Support workshop build and prepare equipment for installation.
Installation, service, maintenance and repair of customer equipment.
Fault finding and troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical and automated systems.
Support commissioning activities both in-house and at customer sites.
Work with electrical, mechanical and controls engineers to deliver complete automated systems.
Support software/program development where relevant to your discipline and experience.
Carry out service and maintenance work at customer plants.
Provide timely and accurate technical support and resolve issues on-site.
Ensure all work is completed safely, accurately and to the required standard.
