Andrews Recruitment Group is recruiting on behalf of a leading materials manufacturer for a Mobile Mechanical Fitter to carry out planned and reactive maintenance across several operational sites in the South West.

The role offers £40,000–£50,000 per year, overtime, a company van, pension and holiday, with long-term career prospects across heavy industrial plant across Bristol, Gloucestershire and Dorset.

Qualifications

• Experienced Mechanical Fitters or Mechanical Maintenance Engineers from heavy industrial environments.
• Full UK Driving Licence is essential.
• Willingness to travel across multiple sites across the South West.

Responsibilities

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive breakdown repairs.
• Maintenance of heavy industrial plant including bearings, gearboxes, motors and conveyors.
• Inspecting and fault-finding across pumps, drives, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Welding and fabrication where required and supporting shutdowns.
• Travel between sites to support production across Bristol, Gloucestershire and Dorset.

Mobile Mechanical Fitter

Salary: £40,000 – £50,000 per annum + Overtime + Company Van + Pension + Holiday

Location: Covering sites across Bristol, Gloucestershire & Dorset

Are you an experienced Mechanical Fitter looking for a varied mobile role supporting heavy industrial plant across multiple production sites?

We are recruiting on behalf of a leading materials manufacturer for a Mobile Mechanical Fitter to carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive breakdowns and mechanical repairs across several operational sites in the South West.

The Role

Working as part of the engineering team, you will travel between sites carrying out planned and reactive maintenance to ensure plant reliability and minimise downtime.

Typical duties will include:

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive breakdown diagnosis and repairs
• Mechanical fault finding
• Replacing bearings, gearboxes, motors and drive systems
• Maintenance of conveyors, pumps, screens, crushers and associated process plant
• Welding and fabrication repairs where required
• Plant inspections and condition monitoring
• Supporting shutdowns and continuous improvement activities
• Working safely in accordance with company Health & Safety procedures

What We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with experienced Mechanical Fitters or Mechanical Maintenance Engineers from heavy industrial environments, including:

• Recycling & Waste Processing
• Asphalt & Concrete
• Cement
• Steel & Metals
• Industrial Manufacturing
• Production & Processing Plants
• Power Generation
• Water & Utilities
• Mining or other heavy engineering environments

You’ll ideally have experience with:

• Mechanical maintenance and fault finding
• Bearings, gearboxes and conveyors
• Pumps, motors and drive systems
• Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Welding and fabrication (advantageous)
• Working independently across multiple sites
• Full UK Driving Licence
