Job summary

Serco Group Plc is seeking a maintenance operative to provide general maintenance services across a portfolio of properties. You will report faults using the AORA IT system and ensure all issues are logged and closed, while keeping properties compliant and fit for purpose.

The role requires willingness to travel across the region and within the UK, with a valid UK driving licence. You will also support furniture repairs or replacements and manage materials purchases in line with Serco standards.

Qualifications

• General DIY experience.
• Willingness and ability to travel within the region and occasionally within the UK (a valid UK driver’s licence is essential).

Responsibilities

• Provide general maintenance services to designated properties.
• Report faults using the AORA IT system and ensure faults are reported and closed.
• Ensure properties are compliant and fit for purpose when completing tasks.
• Repair Serco furniture or ensure replacement to comply with the Home Office Contract.
• Purchase materials/PPE from approved Serco suppliers and keep receipts.
