Job summary

TechMet Ltd. in Belfast invites applications for a Field Service Technician to perform planned maintenance across customer sites in NI and occasional ROI travel.

The role is 35.5 hours per week, with a company vehicle provided for personal use and a Monday-to-Friday schedule; you will not be on call. Approximately 75% field-based and 25% office-based, you’ll visit sites monthly/quarterly, complete PPM visits, and coordinate with clients while ensuring equipment reliability and safety compliance.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of field maintenance experience, preferably electronics or fire & security.
• IT literate with PC-based support tools.
• Basic electrical PPM scheduling and network/low voltage systems knowledge.
• Willingness to travel to ROI and obtain full security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular monthly and quarterly Planned Preventative Maintenance visits to customer sites.
• Travel to ROI as required with a prepared schedule.
• Maintain accurate service records and report on-site issues.

Job description

Field Service Technician - Basically looking for Field Service Technician to do a 35.5 hour week and you can use your company vehicle for personal use. It’s a Monday to Friday role and you will not be on call.

75% your role is Field based and 25% based in the office in Belfast. Majority of the work based in NI. You will be required to travel in ROI for a number of weeks in the year in total but the PPM’s will be well arranged and you will have a full schedule for your work.

You will be responsible for completing regular monthly/quarterly Planned Preventative Maintenance visits to customer sites.

What we are looking for

• A multi-talented individual with cross-disciplinary interest and experience. Ideally someone that possess a mix of IT and engineering skills.
• At least 1+ years’ experience in a field maintenance role preferably within Electronics or Fire & Security service industries.
• Computer literate (essential) with experience of PC based support tools.
• Basic Electrical PPM Scheduling work; Network and low voltage systems you would be working on

Role requires successful application for full security clearance.
