Job summary

National Grid is seeking a Maintenance Assistant to inspect and maintain high‑voltage equipment, travelling between substations in a company vehicle. You will follow digital work instructions on an iPad, complete site routines, and contribute to safe, reliable energy delivery.

The role requires practical know‑how, reliability, and a willingness to learn. You will be based near Deeside, CH5 4BP, with a starting package of £36,813 per year plus bonus and overtime.

Qualifications

• Experience inspecting equipment in industrial/operational settings.
• Able to work to targets and deadlines with safety procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and proactive in spotting issues.
