Job summary

SITECH UK is a leading dealer of Trimble machine control systems, seeking a Field based Machine Control Engineer to install, calibrate and service on-site machine control hardware across dealers and customers. The role demands hands-on hardware installation, diagnostic skills and strong customer focus.

Travel nationwide with some stays away from home, remote working options, and ongoing product training to stay at the forefront of field technology. Immediate start available.

Qualifications

• College or vocational qualification in Mechanical, Hydraulics or Electronic engineering.
• Troubleshooting hydraulic and electrical issues on heavy equipment.
• Familiarity with construction site operations using heavy equipment machine control systems.
• IOSH, RAMS, Health & Safety awareness with CSCS card.
• Arc welding experience is useful but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Installation – primary resource for on-site installation of SITECH/Trimble equipment across OEMs and customers.
• Service – maintenance, call-outs, troubleshooting and support on SITECH/Trimble equipment.
• Measure & calibration – calibration of machine control equipment in field installations or rentals.
• Operations – support installation planning and operation delivery.
• Training – operator training on system use and site procedures.
• Self-management – complete tasks to high standards, documented.
• Customer-first focus – ensure first-time fix and high customer satisfaction.
