Myton Food Group in Colne is seeking a Livestock Technical Auditor to join our field-based team. You’ll bridge sustainability goals with practical farm realities, using audit data and strong communication to drive improvements across our supply base.

This role focuses on collaborating with farms, suppliers, vets, and industry stakeholders to uphold welfare standards, host welfare audits, coach farmers, and develop actionable improvement roadmaps while safeguarding our brand and partnerships.

Qualifications

• Deep industry knowledge in livestock and a reputation within the farming community.
• Emotional intelligence to navigate sensitive on-farm situations and maintain relationships.
• Ability to translate sustainability data into actionable advice for farmers.
• Experience in supplier management or technical auditing.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based role and make high-stakes decisions regarding supplier suitability.

Responsibilities

• Boots-on-the-Ground Diplomacy: uphold brand standards while building long-term farming partnerships.
• The Trusted Advisor at the Farm Gate: host welfare audits and coach farmers to improve standards.
• Drive Excellence: develop our 5 domains auditing module.
• Sustainability & Emissions Mapping: collect data and help farmers understand environmental impact.
• Tackling Tough Conversations: provide fair, firm feedback and delist or suspend unsatisfactory suppliers as needed.
• Auditing Excellence: conduct full reviews of direct pig and elite beef suppliers across the UK and assess risk.
• Engage with industry stakeholders to shape welfare standards and legislation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: work with Agri Manager, buyers, and site operations to align livestock team goals.
