Job summary

Rubax Lifts Limited in Hertfordshire, England, is seeking a skilled Lift Service Engineer to perform routine servicing, minor repairs and fault diagnosis on lift equipment. The role requires NVQ3 in lift maintenance (or equivalent), strong electrical/mechanical knowledge and the ability to work independently with a flexible approach.

You will inspect machinery, document service activities, and use specialist tools to ensure safety and reliability for clients across the region.

Qualifications

• Experience in Lift Servicing/Maintenance/Repairs preferred.
• NVQ Level 3 minimum in lift maintenance or equivalent.
• Advanced electrical and mechanical knowledge.
• Advanced problem-solving skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines.
• Ability to work independently with a flexible approach.
• Good communication skills at different levels.
• Manual dexterity - lifting and tool use.
• Proven fault finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine servicing of lift equipment and minor repairs.
• Rectify and reduce faults on lift equipment during breakdowns and check correct functioning.
• Check speed, motor start/stop, noise, temperature and power supply using approved tooling.
• Inspect escalator installations and complete service documentation.
• Carry out fault finding and diagnostic procedures to restore equipment.
• Use written/graphical information effectively.
