Job summary

bioMérieux is recruiting an IT Field Application Specialist to join the Customer Service team. The role is field-based with approximately 50% home office work and national travel across the UK.

You will install, configure and support data and IT solutions and work closely with client IT teams to ensure seamless interoperability with laboratory workflows. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Knowledge of information management software, LIS/HIS and middleware interfacing, networking protocols and IT security.
• Experience with interoperability standards HL7, XML, CLSI, IHE is advantageous.
• Knowledge of laboratory/hospital workflow is preferable.
• Customer- and solutions-oriented with adaptability in a changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Install and support bioMérieux Data & IT Solutions (e.g., VILINK, MYLA/MAESTRIA, CLARION) and integrate with other systems.
• Consult with clients on system context, hardware and network configuration; install, configure and upgrade bioMérieux hardware and software.
• Provide high-level technical support remotely, over the phone, and on-site lab IT support.
• Configure, validate and troubleshoot interfaces between bioMérieux solutions and LIMS; support integration, upgrades, and go-live activities.
• Collaborate with client IT teams, middleware providers and vendors to ensure interoperability and smooth data exchange; contribute to training for customers and internal colleagues.
