Job summary

National Centre for Social Research (NatCen) is seeking Field Interviewers in Telford to conduct in-home interviews across allocated areas. You will travel to households, guide conversations, and log responses using a NatCen device.

The role is part-time with flexible hours and involves travel, including evenings and weekends. No sales; you’ll listen to participants and help collect data on health, housing, transport and daily life.

Qualifications

• Willingness to travel across an assigned area.
• Excellent listening and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time.
• DBS check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Visit addresses across an assigned area to conduct in-home interviews.
• Guide conversations and record responses using a NatCen device.
• Travel as required, with time planned efficiently.
• Maintain warmth, professionalism and confidentiality.
